Sweetened To Perfection (STP) will provide you with a custom order as outlined in your invoice. We will collaborate with you to design a beautifully decorated, tasteful product. The size, flavor, and design elements will be met as agreed upon by you, the customer, and the STP cake artist. If there is an issue with your order, please bring that to our attention at the time your order is picked up/delivered.
Sweetened To Perfection strives to use the best food safety precautions and freshest ingredients to create your custom order. Our cake artist has been certified in food protection. ALLERGY DISCLAIMER: We have strict food safety procedures in place to decrease the risk of cross-contamination. If you have an allergy concern, please bring that to the attention of the cake artist before you sign your invoice.
A deposit of 50% and a signed invoice is required to confirm and process your order. Deposits are due at the time an order is placed. The remaining balance is due seven (7) days prior to the pickup/delivery date. Any changes to your order must be made no later than seven (7) days prior to pick up/delivery. Any changes requested after the invoice is signed cannot be guaranteed and may be subject to additional charges. Any balance not paid in full by the due date will result in cancellation of your order. A refund will be given in the original form of payment minus a $15 refund processing fee. Orders cancelled within seven (7) days of the pickup/delivery date will receive a refund minus the 50% deposit. If you need to cancel an order, please email orders@sweetenedtoperfection.com as soon as possible to request a cancellation. For last minute orders, those which are placed 14 days or less from desired delivery date, payments are due in full when the order is made. Your order will not be confirmed and processed until the invoice is signed and FULL payment is received. Payments can be made via cash or digitally via Zelle or CashApp using $Sweetened2Perfection or payments@sweetenedtoperfection.com.
Sweetened To Perfection will not approve refunds or exchanges for custom products that meet our quality standards once an order has been picked up/delivered and received by you or someone acting on your behalf. Additionally, under no circumstances will Sweetened To Perfection provide a refund more than the total amount of the signed invoice. All orders are the responsibility of the customer once it leaves our possession. Refund requests due to design, color variation, or theme will not be honored or considered unless theses aspects DO NOT meet the expectations outlined in the signed invoice. Refunds may be approved if the order does not meet the flavor, size, and general description detailed in the signed invoice.
Cake flavor and texture is subjective. Refunds requested due to flavor or texture discrepancies after an order has been received by the customer will be at the sole discretion of Sweetened To Perfection. A store credit may be approved if the order is brought back to us within 24 hours of your event and the quality of the flavor or texture is determined not to meet our standards. We taste test our products to guarantee the highest quality. Our products are made with temperature sensitive ingredients. For best taste, orders should be left out at room temperature approximately 2 hours before serving (excluding chocolate covered treats). This time depends on external temperature and should be adjusted accordingly. Be advised that changes in temperature and humidity may impact the flavor, texture, or structure of the product. Weather conditions may impact the product and we cannot control these conditions or its influence on the product.
Sweetened To Perfection encourages customers to provide design inspiration via photos. We will make every attempt to bring your vision to life and provide you with an order that matches the design, color, and flavors you desire. Be advised that inspiration photos are for inspirational purposes only and designs created by another cake artist will not be duplicated. The final product will vary slightly from the design in the inspirational photos you submitted. If a design needs to be altered, Sweetened To Perfection will communicate with you to get your approval of a new design. The new design will be comparable to the original design and therefore, refunds, discounts, or other price adjustments will not be given.
Sweetened To Perfection will collaborate with you to arrange an appropriate pickup/delivery of your order. The delivery time will be confirmed two (2) days before your event date. Cakes maybe setup 1-3 hours before your event. For outdoor events, we try to setup as close to the event time as possible, which may limit design options.
The customer must disclose any adverse conditions which may interfere with the delivery and quality of your order. This includes but is not limited to hazardous road conditions, damage to building structures or location entry restrictions. In the case of an unavoidable occurrence, such as an act of god, a car accident, poor road conditions, or dropping of cake during delivery — Sweetened To Perfection cannot be held liable for more than the price of the order outlined in the signed invoice.
If you or someone acting on your behalf elects to pick up and set up the order independently, you assume all liability and responsibility for the condition of the purchased item(s) once it leaves the possession of Sweetened To Perfection. If you, or someone acting on your behalf, are not available to receive the delivery, a re-delivery fee of $25 will be incurred. Payment is due when the re-attempted delivery is made.
If you are using a florist to provide fresh flowers for your order, it is your responsibility to obtain flower safety and safe, flower food practices from your florist. The customer placing the order should obtain a notice of plant safety from the florist and forward it to STP. Sweetened To Perfection is not responsible for any damage to your order caused by the placement of flowers, or any other items, by another party.
Sweetened To Perfection is not responsible for any damage to cakes after receipt by the customer. The customer is responsible for providing a safe and secure environment for the cake(s). This includes a temperature friendly location with a sturdy table to hold the order.
*Handle With Care*
When picking up a cake, please be sure to place both hands underneath the cake box supporting the center of the cake. DO NOT lift the cake by the handles on the cake box. DO NOT attempt to pickup/carry your cake by holding the sides of the cake box. When removing the cake from the cake box, be sure to place the box on a stable, flat surface. Open the front panel of the cake box and gently slide the cake from the box. Cakes are secured to the box using anti-slip stickers. You may need to lift the cake slightly to release the stickers.
*Storage/Shelf Life*
Sweetened To Perfection uses fresh fruit and dairy items such as buttercream, milk, and eggs in baked goods. These items are perishable so your cake should be stored accordingly. Cakes should be refrigerated until ready to consume. For best taste, remove your cake from the refrigerator 2 hours before serving. Cakes should be placed at room temperature in a cool, dry environment until ready to cut. DO NOT place cakes in direct sunlight, in extreme heat or in an area with excessive moisture as these environments will compromise the cake. Cakes are made with butter, and it will melt in extreme heat. If your event is outdoors, keep the cake indoors, at room temperature, until you are ready to cut and serve it. Any leftovers should be placed in the refrigerator. Cakes have a shelf life of 48 hours after delivery/pickup.
*Cutting and Serving*
To maximize the number of servings, please reference the cake cutting guide that was emailed to you. Cakes taste best when they have reached room temperature and have regained their moistness. Be sure to remove your cake from the refrigerator at least 2 hours before you cut and serve the cake. If the cake appears firm, it has not had adequate time to come to temperature so, leave it out a bit longer. Remove all non-edible decorations from your cake before cutting and serving. These items include cake supports, silk flowers, figurines, acrylic and paper toppers/decorations, toothpicks, etc.Sweetened To Perfection will collaborate with you to arrange an appropriate pickup/delivery of your order. Sweetened To Perfection will always ensure the privacy of our clients. We will not disclose customer information including photographs of people, names, event details, contract details etc., without your permission. We reserve the right to photograph products created by Sweetened To Perfection and use those photos on our website, social media, or in marketing materials. We also reserve the right to use any product photographs for display or promotion without compensation to you. Additionally, if you grant Sweetened To Perfection permission to use photographs with your likeness represented, we reserve the right to use those photographs solely for the purposes intended and without compensation to you.
